Volunteer
We have many opportunities and ways for you to get involved.We are growing very quickly and have several needs for high-level organizational and leadership roles such as:
- Fundraising committee lead: manage capital campaign, grants, events
- Marketing committee lead: marketing plans, social media, press releases
- Community Development committee lead: maintain/develop relationships with area businesses, supporters, rescue groups, and veterinarians
- Board of Directors members: community connected and highly networked individuals.
If you are more “task-oriented”, we can use your help too!! Below are listed some of our immediate needs, but if you don’t see something that suits you, please let us know how you’d like to help!
- Petco Booth Volunteers
People are needed to sell spay/neuter vouchers at Petco on Saturdays, 12 – 3pm. Training is provided. Contact zen4me21 AT gmail DOT org - Crafts
Cut cat figures out of wood with a jigsaw - Website Copywriter
Help write compelling descriptions of events and website copy - Knit or crochet catnip mice
If you can knit or crochet, we have the organic catnip and yarn ready for you, meow (that’s thank you in cat lingo)! - Black Dog Walk Coordinator
Approximately 3 hours a month, coordinating a dog walk on the second Sunday of each month. Duties include set up and attending the black dog walk, and coordinating volunteers. - Photographer
Photographer needed to take high quality photographs at our events or for use in marketing materials.
If you don’t see some thing you’d love to do for the animals, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will create the purr- fect volunteer opportunity for you. We look forward to having you join our team to save the animals.
