HEAR FROM SOME OF OUR PARTNERS

DAVE

FRIENDS FUREVER ANIMAL RESCUE

SNIP is an integral part of helping FFAR meet our mission of placing spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped cats and dogs into loving homes in Southeast Idaho and beyond. The staff’s organizational, recordkeeping, and efficiency skills are commensurate with their surgical skills. Their care of the animals, even during non-routine events like Covid, has always been exceptional and outstanding. Recently, SNIP staff assisted an adoptable pup named HOBBS find his “furever” home. Without any prompting by our rescue, staffers gave additional TLC to this pup while in the clinic for his neuter. Instead of the recovery kennel that is provided for all patients, HOBBS was given a comfy bed on the floor and was surrounded and admired by loving staff. Staff was so delighted with their new friend that they created a flyer for HOBBS so that his furever family would find him. Because of their flyer and post on social media, SNIP staffers generated three new leads for HOBBS. In addition, the rescue received additional organization exposure. After 4 months in boarding, HOBBS is in a loving and experienced trial-adopt home.

JENNY

FREEDOM BOUND HOUNDS

SNIP has greatly impacted Freedom Bound Hounds. We focus on areas where resources are minimal, and neglect is all too common. The majority of our dogs come from South Texas, and without a rescue, have no hope. It’s been important to us from the beginning to make adoption affordable and enjoyable. Rescuing dogs from South Texas can be expensive, but SNIP has made it possible to keep our adoption fees reasonable, so that we have the opportunity to place our dogs into loving homes no matter what. Having a working relationship with a team that understands the heart and soul we pour into our dogs is important. We aren’t just another number here, they seem to enjoy our babies as much as we do. Each dog that walks through their door from us has had a horrible past and faced a life threatening situation. They always treat our dogs with open arms and the best of care. We are extremely fortunate to have an option like this, as we absolutely could not impact the amount of lives that we do without them.

BRITTANY

IDAHO HUMANE SOCIETY

Barbara, one of our Pets for Life clients in Wilder, had found two bottle baby kittens back in October. She spent the weekend looking for the mother cat, checking with neighbors, and looking into other resources. When we connected the following week, Barbara had mentioned she had not been able to find the mother and had been caring for them ever since. Barbara’s dedication to the tiny cats never wavered; she provided around the clock bottle feedings, found kitty-sitters when she had schedule conflicts, litterbox training as they grew, and coordinated with our PFL program to have them neutered and vaccinated through our partners at SNIP- Spay Neuter Idaho Pets, Inc. once they were old enough at the end of December. The kittens, now known as Foodie and Pollito, are busy being rambunctious youngsters and continue to lead happy, healthy lives!

SUSAN

HAPPY JACK CATS

SNIP services are crucial to our mission, and we highly value our partnership. We strongly believe in the importance of spaying and neutering all cats, and never offer an animal for adoption until it has been sterilized. SNIP offers surgeries at a reasonable cost, and, as a nonprofit, cost is of paramount importance to us. A low cost alternative is such as SNIP makes what we do possible. Together we make a difference!

PATTY

SIMPLY CATS

During “kitten season” each year we take in hundreds of kittens too young to spay or neuter. These babies go into foster homes until they are of age/weight for surgery. In 2020, SNIP assisted us with our foster kitten spays and neuters. This enabled us to move the kittens into our adoption program in a timely manner.

DONNA

GARDEN CITY COMMUNITY CATS PROJECT

SNIP works hard to support the TNR community. It has been a saving grace sometimes. The opportunity to do larger numbers of feral cats at low cost allows us to do mass trapping, which saves us time, effort and money. It is our favorite clinic in the valley.
